Skullys
The Skullys (as I affectionately call this series) have fast become my most popular design - is it a sign of the times? or just how cute they are? CUTE??? I think so - don't you? Skulls are created by dyeing chicken or duck shells black; scratching & bleach painting them; lacquering them 10 times; cleaning them out; sanding the gloss sheen off; and finally - partially filling with sand ballast and capping them. This is a numbered series. |

Laughing Skulls
Found in the crowns of the demonic deities in Indian, Tibetan & Nepalese, these laughing skulls come in a variety of eye-popping, eyebrow-arching expressions. Laquered & sanded everywhere except the eyeballs, self-standing. |
